The Road to Gender Equality: the Morato Group is on its way to certification
Achieving gender equality means designing a workplace where men and women have the same access to the same career and development opportunities. It means understanding differences and seeing them as assets. It means making fair and equal parenting possible and ensuring a better work-life balance for mothers and fathers.
The Morato Group is pursuing its commitment to gender equality with the Road to Gender Equality program, starting with PDR 125:2022 certification of gender equality in business contexts.
Today, the Morato Group has received its first recognition for these efforts, with gender equality certification for five Italian companies, starting with the parent, Morato Pane.
“Gender equality certification is, on one hand, a sign that we are on the right path, having created company policies that support inclusion, while on the other hand, it reflects the commitment we have made, a commitment that will translate into concrete projects in the future,” remarked Stefano Maza, Morato Group CEO. “Our goal is clear and simple. We want to offer our employees a comfortable, safe and inclusive work environment every day, one that encourages people to best express their full potential and that guarantees equal career and development opportunities for men and women.”
The Morato Group has charted its road to gender equality on the basis of an in-depth mapping of the areas on which the main projects will focus, from the roll-out of a single performance management system for more objective performance assessments to more flexible work models at all Morato Group companies.
Every employee of every Italian company in the Morato Group has participated, and will continue to participate, in the Road to Gender Equality program. As the Group is increasingly intent on championing diversity and inclusion, this project marks another crucial step forward in the integration of its different businesses and is a fundamental pillar of the Group’s sustainable development.
